(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) December 17, 2007- Acclaimed rock band Ever Stays Red releases its national debut album, On The Brink of it All, March 11, 2008, on Vertical Shift Records with EMI-CMG Distribution. Formed in 2004, Ever Stays Red has garnered a loyal following, playing over 250 concerts per year and landing three No. 1 radio singles in 40 US markets with two top 20 R&R hits from its independent album, I'll Tell the World.
With that momentum, the title track from On The Brink of it All was serviced to radio Nov. 30 and showcases Ever Stays Red’s inventive, hard driving alternative rock with the distinctive vocals of lead vocalist Dustin Carlson, Zach Andresen on lead guitar, Erick Brunner on bass and Josh Carlson on drums. Co-produced by Ever Stays Red and industry veteran Ken Mary (Alice Cooper, The Beach Boys, Trik Turner, LaRue, Megadeth) and mixed by GRAMMY winning mixer/ recording engineer J.R. McNeely (Kutless, Jeremy Camp, Relient K), On the Brink Of It All promises to retain the band’s unabashedly purpose driven message while charting new sonic territory.
“I wrote songs for the new album about never giving up on the dreams inside of you, songs about redemption, songs about daring to believe in what the world could be,” says Carlson.
“Ever Stays Red offers an exciting crop of anthems ripe for the hearts and ears of rock aficionados and worship enthusiasts alike with On The Brink of it All,” states Mary. “The band’s national debut takes center stage with the support of a dedicated fan base built upon years of relentless touring. Melding its high energy, guitar-driven rock with compellingly honest vocals and spiritually gripping lyrics, the new album reflects the maturity of a band that, for the past four years, has lived and breathed to spread the eminent message of Christ through music.”
The Tempe, Arizona-based foursome, who recently finished a tour with Kutless, has also performed with the likes of Jeremy Camp, Sanctus Real, Delirious?, Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch, Everyday Sunday, Stellar Kart, Falling Up, Seven Places and more.
“Ever Stays Red is one of the hardest working bands I have ever met,” says Nick DePartee of Kutless. “I think this hard work shines brightly through in this record. Catchy melodies that hook the heart at first listen.”
“We love these guys and their music,” adds Chris Rohman of Sanctus Real. “We’ve had the pleasure of touring together, so it’s exciting to hear some new songs... and I can say this is definitely Ever Stays Red at their best!”
With proceeds from its national tours, Ever Stays Red also funded two international tours to Belo Horizonte, Brazil where they performed nightly for thousands of young people, many of whom lived in the streets of the inner city. The band witnessed first-hand the power of music to transcend culture and creed, further solidifying their sense of calling.
